4 1/2 c  Water
1/2 c  Chopped leek tops

1 c  Dried green peas
1/2 c  Pearl barley
2 qt Cold water
2 ts Salt
1/4 ts Pepper

3    Carrots, diced
1 c  Turnip, diced
1/2 c  Celery, diced
1 tb Parsley, chopped

1 c  Brown lentils
2 ea Bay leaves
1 ea Celery stick, finely chopped
2 ts Ginger, grated
8 c  Vegetable stock
1 tb Olive oil
1 lg Red onion, chopped
2 ea Cloves garlic, crushed
2 md Tomatoes, peeled and chopped
1 bn Spinach, chopped
2 ts Cider vinegar
1 ts Cilantro, chopped

4 oz Ground cinnamon
1 oz Ground cloves
1 oz Ground nutmeg
1 oz Ground ginger
