Chocolate Sour Cherry Cake


Servings: 10
Ingredients: 

  • 12 tb Unsalted butter
    • 

  • 6 oz Semi-sweet chocolate
    • 

  • 1 c  Sugar
    • 

  • 3/4 c  Sifted flour with 1 t. salt
    • 

  • 6    Eggs, separated
    • 

  • 1 ts Vanilla
    • 

  • 1 cn Sour cherries, drained
    •

Preheat oven to 350. Melt chocolate and butter together, let cool
slightly. Beat egg yolks and sugar until lemon colored. Add chocolate
and egg whites. Pour into a buttered 10-1/2\’ spring form pan.
Sprinkle drained cherries evenly on top. Bake for 55 minutes. Cool
for 15 minutes. Run knife around edge to loosen. Let cool completely
and remove from pan.
