BARLEY BASIL PILAF


Servings: 7
Ingredients:

  • 2 ts Vegetable Oil
  • 1 c  Pear Barley Uncooked
  • 2 c  Chicken Broth
  • 1/2 ts Salt
  • 1/3 c  Minced Fresh Cinnamon
  • Basil OR Plain Basil
  • 1/4 c  Thinkly Sliced Green
  • Onions
  • 1/8 ts Ground Nutmeg

Heat Oil in A 1 Quart Saucepan Over Medium Heat Just Until Hot, Not
Smoking. Add Barley and Cook 5 Min. OR Until Browned, Stirring Constantly.
Add Chicken Broth and Salt, Bring To A Boil. Cover and Reduce Heat and Simmer 30
Min. OR Until Barley Is Tender And Liquid Is Absorbed. Remove From Heat.
Stir in Basil, Green Onions and Nutmeg.
