BEEF BARLEY SKILLET


Servings: 4
Ingredients: 

  • 1/4 lb Hamburger
    • 

  • 4 tb Chopped onion
    • 

  • 2 tb Chopped celery
    • 

  • 2 tb Chopped green pepper
    • 

  • 1/8 ts Tyme
    • 

  • 1/4 ts Sugar
    • 

  • 1/2 ts Worchestershire sauce
    • 

  • 1 1/2 tb Chile sauce
    • 

  • 2/3 c  Canned tomatoes
    • 

  • 1/2 c  Water
    • 

  • 1/4 c  Pearl barley, saltandpepper
    •

Saute beef, onion, celery and green pepper. Pour off fat and stir in rest
of the ingredients and bring to a boil then turn down heat and simmer until
barley is cooked.
