These are so good! Fourth gf donut recepie I tried and the best of them. Used tapioca instead of arrowroot and worked perfectly. Tried it with regular sugar (half white, half muscavado) but it wouldn't come out of the mold. That batter was looser, so maybe just use one (or a half) tbsp less water.

Does that taste like a Entenmann's doughnut?

  3. Frugal Treehugger says

Oh my gosh! Thank y'all so much for explaining the flours! So many gf recipes just say 'x amount of flour blend,' and that's not helpful.

Voodoo Donut? Wtf is that? Where tf are they? Close them down, expeditiously! They are as fake and made up as the word “expeditiously”.

Please don't refer to people who eat healthy as "high maintenance eaters" – GMO's, Processing Food, Livestock Production- these things are High Maintenance. Healthy/Natural eating is Low maintenance its just that our food/health institutions have been promoting un-healthy, high maintenance practices as the best. Clearly, as we're all learning, we're being lied to. And if we take control of our lives again, We can make healthy eating as easy and common as it should be and once was. A perfect Example how Misused technology has taken the human race backwards.

The most frustrating thing for me about having to be gluten-free is that no matter how many ingredients I special order from Amazon or how many hour-long round trips I make to the nearest civilization to stock my pantry with a bazillion different flours, there's always at least ONE I still don't have to make a new recipe I come across. It never fails, ever! (Note to self: order white rice flour.)

They sound/look so good! Any suggestions on substitute for potato starch? I'd love to make them for my sister and appreciate that you've made them gluten and soy free but I would need them nightshade free too. I loved the movie Powder. 🙂

Love the recipes you guys are sharing. For recreating, it would help to be able to read the ingredients list somewhere. Could you maybe add such ingredients lists to the description of your recipe videos? Would really appreciate that!
